Jay Duncan –
I had a liver transplant 26 months ago and I was on daily entecavir medication of 4mg and at the same time, I had to get monthly injections of HBIG. During my checkup 2 months ago, it was shown that my HBV level has already gone down so my injections was decreased to quarterly as long as I continue with my entecavir because it is really working well for me. My doctor and I discussed that if the improvement continues, I could eventually stop my injections and simply have entecavir as my maintenance against the HepaB virus. I do hope I’ll be able to eliminate the injections sooner coz it’s expensive. I’m not experiencing any side effects with the entecavir so I’ll definitely choose it over the HBIG.
