For 4 months already, I’m taking finasteride and it really helped in shrinking my prostate. I used to have urinary urgency. Like if I think I wanna pee, I need to do it now. At times, I couldn’t even hold it long enough to reach the toilet. That was when I went to the doctor and found out that my prostate has enlarged. Though my doctor told me that I wouldn’t have to worry much because it’s not malignant. So I was put on finasteride and all is well up to now. I can now delay my urination if needed but it is still not entirely back to the normal size so I still need to continuously take it. I did feel at times that it causes me decreased libido but I guess I’ll just have to accept that side effect for now as long as it could keep myself from wetting my pants.
